Enough is Enough
Little Blondie head girl,
so silly as a squirrel .
You have kept me in a whirl,
like the squirrel hurling
their hickory nuts back and forth.
You remind my soul of what today is for,
seeing her here with me now
you would never know
what a Shirley Temple fan she was
she new all her songs and dances
When school kicked in at the age of five
Her fourth grade was the best
She remembers prancing and dancing in front of the mirror
That was me in my red white blue musical skirt
Well hell I thought it was beautiful
Dad threaten to burn it if I ever took it off .
That was his way of saying enough is enough.
